We hope you are enjoying your sunshine!  You may be adjusting to a new way of doing school now that Kate Brown has closed schools for the remainder of the school year.  While our society adjusts and limits how we can interact with one another, we hope your team is still finding ways to stay well, connect with your team and communities to support them during this pandemic.   Evaluation Report   ORTOP completed an evaluation report to measure the ways FIRST impacts our youth participants.  We are committed to continuing this work into the future.  Teams are encouraged to use this tool in your work, both to prove the impact of the program and to suggest ways ORTOP can improve our approach.  Stay Connected with us!   All our lives have changed quite drastically over the past month!  As we all practice social distancing, we want to find a way to stay connected with each other. Teams I have two things for you tonight: 1.  Scrimmage 2020 is schedule for February 15th .  Registration is $125 on the ORTOP website .  Please register early so we know how many teams to plan for. 2.  Intel Oregon FIRST LEGO League Championship is in need of volunteers !  This is your opportunity to support the pipeline of robotics in Oregon. The championship will host 120 teams over two days at Liberty High School in Hillsboro.  We have a need for both student and adult volunteers.  There are many roles to be filled: judging, practice field attendant, door queuing or emcee!  If you are interested in auditioning to be an emcee at our event contact Loridee Wetzel .

Volunteer at a local FIRST tournament With our FIRST LEGO League season two short weeks away, we are requesting help staffing these specific tournaments: Hill High, McMinnville, Concordia College, Medford, Roseburg, Grants Pass and Corvallis.  Teams have worked hard to prepare for their tournament and we can not run them without the support from our volunteers!  View the event schedules here: FIRST LEGO League  Register for an event here .
